Another in my weird series Places That Don't Exist - was watching some tutorials decided to make my own exersize using stock from DA.

Both lovely photos that I have shamelessly shmushed into this silly picture. The idea was to use a layer to select itself via channels (I used the blue channel on the waterfall layer to select just the white water) then make an alpha channel - which I then upped the contrast, then made a new layer and grabbed the selection from the alpha - filled with the sand colour and set to colour mode. I then edited the levels a squinch and whola. Falling sand. It was a fun tutorial ^__^
